Sate Ayam – Chicken Sate

Satay, or sate in Indonesian and Malay spelling, is a Southeast Asian dish of seasoned, skewered and grilled meat, served with a sauce. It is from Indonesia and popular in Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Brunei. It also recognized and popular in Suriname and the Netherlands.

There are many different kind of sate in Indonesia and some of them do not have peanut-based sauce. For example: Sate Padang, Sate Lilit Bali, Sate Ayam Kecap, Sate Babi

Living in Sweden is a blessed but I can hardly find any authentic Asian restaurant here. And this Sate Ayam is one of many Indonesians favorite dish.

I N G R E D I E N T S

  • Chicken Thighs
  • Shallots
  • Sweet Soya Sauce
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Bamboo Skewers

H O W T O P R E P A R E

  • Marinate the chicken using shallots onion, sweet soya sauce salt peppar at least 1-2hour before you grill them and put it in the fridge
