Bolu Jadul / Sponge Cake

I am back home again and the first thing I did was baking this amazing Sponge Cake glazed with creamcheese butter, and topped half with grated cheese and chocolate sprinkles.

OMG.. Bener2 kaya bolu jadul banget! Setelah bbrp lama ngiler pengen bolu jadulnya @lidiatanod tapi ga kesampean, akhirnya aku memutuskan untuk mencoba baking sendiri. Thanks to @1k4jaeger buat tips dan resepnya.. Bolunya mantap banget and buat @cakelover_ak atas tipsnya buat pemilihan keju yg cocok dan bisa dibeli disini utk kue bolu ini.

I N G R E D I E N T S

  • 5 egg yolks
  • 3 egg whites
  • 70 gr sugar
  • 50 gr of flour
  • 10 gr milk powder (dancow)
  • 10 grams of cornstarch
  • 80 gr melted butter

T O P P I N G
Chocolate Sprinkle / Cheese/ Crushed Hazelnut

Cream Cheese mixed with butter and powdered sugar

H O W T O P R E P A R E

  • Prepare the mold, spread with butter and then sprinkle with flour, set aside.
  • Beat eggs and sugar until the mixture is thick.
  • Then enter the flour gradually.
  • Put the melted butter, stir well. (Stir for a while, don’t over time)
  • Pour into a prepared baking pan.
  • Bake in the oven at 150 Celsius for 20-25 minutes less.
  • Check for maturity by pricking the cake with a stick.
  • Cool it down.
  • When it’s cold you can start spread the buttercream then add sprinkles or grated cheese.
