P U D D I N G

C H O C O L A T E

  • 3tbs sugar
  • 5tbs cacao powder
  • 1 pack agar agar plain
  • 400ml milk

D I R E C T I O N S

  • Mixed all the dry ingredients and then pour the milk and stir them until their dissolved
  • Cook them in medium heat then switch off
  • Pour it into a pudding form, wait until it’s cold

W H I T E

  • 3tbs sugar
  • 5tbs milk powder
  • 1 pack agar agar plain
  • 5tbs condensced milk
  • 400ml milk

D I R E C T I O N S

  • Mixed all the dry ingredients and then pour the milk and stir them until their dissolved
  • Cook them in medium heat then switch off
  • Pour it into the chocolate (make sure the chocolate is done) and then wait or put in the fridge for 1-2 hours

V L A

  • 1 egg yolks
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 500ml cold milk
  • 3 tsp vanilla essence
  • 3tsp cornstarch
  • rhum for more taste

D I R E C T I O N S

  • Beat egg yolks and sugar until light and creamy.
  • Add the milk to the egg mixture, beat on the lowest speed.
    Pour this and the rest of the milk into a large saucepan, stirring to combin
  • In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with the cold milk until it dissolves, then pour into saucepan.
  • Add vanilla pods or essence at this point.
  • When vla comes to a boil, turn off heat, then transfer saucepan to an ice-filled large pan or sink.
  • Stir continuously until it cools. Remove pods, if used.
  • Pour into jugs and cool in the fridge.
  • Lace with rum if desired.

Note: Many a times vla has been burnt if left unattended, so keep stirring, on medium heat. Then even to cool, keep stirring, otherwise it may get ‘lumpy’. That’s precisely why this is a labor of love.
